MESSAGE

“TOWARDS BUILDING
A 100-SHIPS SYSTEM,
ONWARD GROWING INTO
A 100-YEAR-OLD COMPANY”

“Continue to fulfill our responsibility
as a member of society
by creating new values following
the changes of times and environment.”

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support.

Our company was founded by our predecessor Kenji Yamamoto in March 1974 as a domestic shipping corporation in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
Later on, we entered the global shipping business and expanded our work by utilizing 4 interest factors: volatile chartering market, ship prices, exchange rates, and interest rates. At the same time, we entered the domestic shipping business, ferry and logistics business, and regional revitalization business with the aim of achieving more stable business management.

For the further promotion of our business activities and in anticipation of growing to a 100-year-old company, we have defined our “Mission Vision Value”.
To be a company that wins the “Trust” of our stakeholders in a society of changing environment where customer needs are diversifying, we have defined Values as business ethics, moral principles, culture of the company: “Gratitude, Sincerity, Respect, Responsibility, and Creativity”. We aim to be a company that contributes to people’s lives around the world by ensuring that each and every one of our employees has a deep understanding of the Value, and by always being one step ahead of the change of the times and continuing to take on new challenges.

In anticipation of growing to a 100-year-old company, we aim to build a 100-ship system.
For our 50th anniversary in 2024, we have serveral goals. We are working on strengthening our financial position, enhancing our ship management system, diversifying our financing of global shipping business, strengthening our governance, and improving the efficiency of our operations.

Under the vision of “Bring happiness from the seas to the world,” we do not stick to existing business models and ideas, but create values with the changing times and environment. As we strive to continue to fulfill our responsibilities as a member of society, we would like to be a company that contributes to the improvement of people’s lives, society, and environmental protection.

We would like to thank you all for your continued support and encouragement.
